Evidence Brief samples

Three annual-report briefs where every claim keeps the document, page and bounding box it came from. 36 evidence records, 29 of them facts — and 29 of 29 were found on the page they cite when the build ran.

The reports themselves are written in Chinese: the filings are Chinese-language documents and the quotes are kept in the original characters rather than translated. This page is the English index to them.

What to check, in order

Open S2 and click the chip on the first supplier row. You land on page 36, row one: an unnamed supplier holding 14.59% of procurement.
Open evidence.jsonl and look at the same claim (s2-4): doc, page, bbox, quote, the PDF's SHA-256 and the time it was verified.
Pick any other claim whose number you doubt, and read its crop. Nothing here asks you to trust the prose.

S1 — Storage cell delivery: CATL vs EVE Energy

Two 2025 annual reports, compared on what they disclose about storage cells: volumes, customers, and where one document is silent.

20.2bn yuan of raw materials, and a supplier table where the first, unnamed row is 1.39× the next four combined. The header trap on page 35 is part of the story.

Entities across all three filings, each edge anchored to a page. Edges that cannot be closed are drawn as gaps instead of being smoothed over.

The check behind the numbers

For every fact, a verifier reopens the PDF at the recorded page, joins that page's block text, strips whitespace and looks for the quoted sentence. A miss prints MISS and exits the build non-zero — there is no warning state and no human proofreading step.

Result of the run on 2026-11-01. Each record carries the PDF's SHA-256, so a crop is reproducible against one exact file rather than "the annual report" in general.

What these samples are not

Not a client case. They are public filings, run to show the format and the checking. No confidential supply chain is in here.
Not a corpus. Three documents, three companies. The graph earns its cost at a few hundred documents; at three, the edges fit in one table.
Not amounts. Annual reports prove that relations exist and price them badly — supplier tables are percentages with the names replaced.
Not scans. Every sample has a text layer. A scanned PDF has no substring to hit, and I have no measured behaviour for that case.
